Marc Adams School of Woodworking
Send Me Outdoors is honored to partner with the Marc Adams School of Woodworking on special charity events that create space for skill-building, connection, purpose, and community. Through this partnership, participants are able to take part in a unique woodworking experience while spending meaningful time alongside others who understand the value of service, shared experience, and hands-on work.
2026 MASW CHARITY EVENT
8 September 2026 - 12 September 2026
This September, Send Me Outdoors is proud to continue its partnership with the Marc Adams School of Woodworking through a special charity event created in honor of those who have served with courage, dedication, and sacrifice. The 2026 event is scheduled for September 8 through September 12, with a class size of 20 participants.

During this five-day experience, participants will build two handcrafted memory boxes, one to keep and one to give to someone who has played an important role in their life. The class will include intricate marquetry, fine joinery, unique ornamentation, and instruction using premium materials, while also teaching woodworking fundamentals such as safety, hand skills, and machine theory. No previous woodworking experience is necessary.

For Send Me Outdoors, opportunities like this are about far more than woodworking. They are about connection, purpose, restoration, and time spent alongside others who understand service, sacrifice, and the value of community.
SMO’s mission is to support military and first responder veterans and their families by strengthening social connection and promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being through service and outdoor-centered experiences. We are deeply grateful to Marc Adams, the Marc Adams School of Woodworking, and the many supporters whose generosity helps make our mission possible.

This opportunity is limited, and participation is not first-come, first-served. Because space and support are finite, interested individuals are asked to complete the Participant Consideration Form so the SMO team can thoughtfully review submissions and responsibly place these limited spots.
The event is primarily adults only, with exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis.
